According to recent rumours, a full length Assassin’s Creed title which is set in Japan could be in the works.
The scoop comes from journalist Jeff Grubb who revealed the information on a new podcast, Grubb discussed recent news that suggested Assassin’s Creed Rift will be set in Bagdad.
It didn’t take long for the conversation to move over to future titles in the franchise, Grubb then noted that an upcoming AC title will be arriving and will be set in Japan.
It is currently unclear however if this is standalone game or if it will be a part of Assassin’s Creed Infinite, Grubb also mentioned that he couldn’t confirm exactly what the source said although their information on Rift has been correct so far.
Fans have been eager for a Japan based AC game for years now, over this time we have seen the series take us on a journey to many different countries and historical eras.
Throughout the franchise, we have heard The Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins mentioned many times in different titles, could this be an indication of whats to come in the future?
Although, we must take this information with a pinch of salt as nothing has yet been officially confirmed.
It looks like fans will have to wait for an official announcement on this one, but in the meantime be sure to check back with us at Gamerficial for the latest news and updates.
